Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego Raises $156K In 2nd Quarter (FOLLOWING MONEY IN ARIZONA'S POLITICS)

New Arizona Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-CD7) collected more than $150,000 in campaign contributions in the 2nd quarter of 2015, bringing his receipts during his rookie term to $270,000.  He had $160,415 in his campaign checking account on June 30.

Of his 2nd quarter receipts, approximately 1/3 ($49,100) came from PACs (political action committees), and $24,000 came from small contributions (less than $200/individual).

Gallego is in a fairly safe Democratic district - that is not going to be subject to Republican-caused redistricting - and thus does not have to raise as much money as an incumbent in a more-competitive district.

He filed his report earlier today.
